With electric cars more common in Singapore, you must be wondering how should you charge your vehicle in JB? The best way is overnight charging at an accommodation and here are some recommendations you can stay at to charge your vehicle. This will remove those range anxiety headaches from your travels around JB the next day.
KSL Hotel (link)
One of the most convenient locations with a charger in the mall, do check with your accommodation whether they allow you to use the chargers in the residence. I would say avoid staying at this location unless you like this mall and won’t mind staying here. Accommodation prices are high and you may need to pay for parking and charging at the mall if the residential charger isn’t available to you.
Hotel Holmes GP (Link) ✅
One of the best accommodations with free parking and a charger right downstairs, its downside is that you would need your own T2 cable to use this charger. The price of the accommodation isn’t too bad too!
Hilton JB (Link)
There has been recent news that this hotel doesn’t have an EV charger anymore, do check with Hilton for updates about this charger.
Afiniti Residence (Link)
Haven’t used this yet but it seems promising, nearby is Medini Mall which has an EV charger. The mall has paid parking that is reasonable enough but who loves to pay for parking? You may be better off staying at Legoland’s hotel where an EV charger is currently being installed.
Forest City (Link)
If you golf, this location is a good place to charge your EV. The location also comprises many apartments and a hotel for good measure. I have not personally tested this charger yet but would love to in the future.

With Desaru being quite a drive away from the causeway, you would need a charger at your destination to be able to enjoy Desaru. Here at this hotel, you will be able to get a charger at the hotel. Giving you a good charge on-site would mean more comfort in your vehicle. Only an EV owner will understand how enjoyable it is to have a full charge. 😎
