In 2023, we as a family of 4 flew into Queenstown, New Zealand. It was the first time we had such a long flight from Singapore and in this post, I would like to share our experience.
Plans & Flight
Having been in New Zealand back in 2019, we had a great time with a modern RV or campervan. We were very impressed and we got hooked on the fact that we as a family back then were able to be comfortable while driving around the country and not planning accommodation before the trip. If you are arriving and departing from Christchurch or Auckalnd Airport, the below company is what we recommend. Watch this video below!
This year, we planned to grab a campervan from Queenstown Airport instead of Christchurch and drive one way to Christchurch Airport. This gave us more time because we didn’t need to drive down from Christchurch Airport and back again. This year, because our vehicle rental office closed at 4 pm and we got stuck in a situation when the vehicle rental company, Britz, closed before we arrived because of flight delays. A waste of money and time as we needed to book accommodation last minute, this flight was delayed because of bad weather and it was 4 hours which wasn’t enough time to be able to claim anything from the insurance company. Watch our experience in this video and let us know what you think!
