Charging your EV takes time and it will be best paired with an activity to go along with this charging activity. I’ll recommend some locations and things to do at these chargers. All based on personal experience to get the most accurate information.
Hotel Holmes
If you have your own charging cable, this is an option for you. Charging overnight or a few hours will help if you stay at this hotel. Its right downstairs and convenient to use. It is slow and you do need your own cable so that may deter some folks from this 2 bay charger. Yes it is only 2 bay so it isn’t a lot.
Lotus Supermarket
Free parking with 3 EV chargers, this location isn’t the best but it is good if you are looking for a supermarket trip with free parking and an EV charger. With rock climbing activities nearby and other amenities in this large supermarket, you will be able to enjoy this charger and get some supermarket therapy done for sure! There are other Lotus supermarkets with chargers that I have not visited but here is the other link to it!
Sutera Mall
One of the largest dedicated charging stations I’ve experienced. With many lots available and a huge mall with a supermarket, massage and other shops to eat till your hearts content.
KSL City Mall / Hotel
The usual expensive mall with loads of food and activities for children. Parking is expensive and it is a relatively comfortable mall with occasionally being overcrowded. Wouldn’t recommend this mall unless you intend to go to this mall.
Perling Mall
With a slow charger here, you can do your shopping and charge your vehicle easily at this Mall. It isn’t the best mall to charge your vehicle at but would be a good option if you are looking to have a meal here before heading to your next location.
Paradigm Mall
Highly recommended mall to head to for your charging and activities enjoyment. The charging station is huge and has many dedicated lots. You also have many activities to enjoy like ice-skating, home renovation shopping, awesome eateries, toy shops, and many other activities I enjoy.
Zenith Lifestyle Mall
Conveniently located near the checkpoint and nearby City Square and other malls nearby. With Haidilao within the mall, it is a good stop before heading back to Singapore. It does have an expensive parking price and its crowded roads to maneuver around. It may be your only option around this location before you head back to Singapore Customs.
Legoland / Mall of Medini
Looking for an awesome children’s activity while charging your vehicle?
Legoland has annual passes available and you will be able to get your charging done for your vehicle at Medini Mall BUT do note that there are only 2 chargers at this location and it would be tough to get a charger here in peak times. The charger is also not reliable and may not be active occasionally.
Subway Big Box Iskandar Puteri
FREE charger FREE charger FREE charger, that’s not all. We also have free parking on site and an average amount of chargers available. with about 4-6 charging lots and a dedicated Tesla supercharger I believe this play would be the best location to head to when you enter or exit via the Tuas Checkpoint. There is a supermarket and some random shops you could explore but eateries at this location isn’t great in my opinion.
Horizon Hill Golf
Starbucks
With driving, comes convenience. Starbucks has some chargers on site where you can park freely and charge your vehicle, a win-win situation for the business and the EV owner. A simple yet elegant way to get your vehicle charged. Beware that this chargers are slow and will take more than a coffee to get some juice into your batteries.
